I am really enjoying Tale of the Waning Moon from Yen Press. Most fun thing I'd read in a while.
Gah, I do not read enough smut these days ...

So, I accessed my YS email account for the first time today since the site closed. I also actually remembered my password for the site itself and logged in. Not much was up. Only had one non-spam email.
cost-effective OLED manufacturing," said Yoshinari Yaoi, corporate senior executive officer and president, FPD Equipment Company, Dainippon Screen.

It is an actual Japanese last name. I see it pop up from time to time in my Google alerts. There is also journalist who goes by 'Y. Aoi' who winds up in my alerts as well.

So, that new file I grabbed does appear to be the first of the KKM OAVs. Kinda, it has that little graphic that usually means the show going to and from commercial. But, I've seen all of the TV show, so, what else could it be?
Anyway, outside of slightly better drawing and animation, it's more of the same. Other new plotline. Can the show please get back to being fluffy, shounen-ai flavoured crack?
Also, can they stop treating Wolfram just like some sort of go-to joke? One of my favorite characters ever has gone from interesting and dynamic to ... Urkel. All he does is barf and get angry at things. And Yuri doesn't even treat him like a friend. *sigh*

Why does it feel like it's been forever since I actually finished a yaoi review? Well, partially it's because it has been a while. YS hasn't lacked for content recently, but it is time to start slogging through my backlog of reviews to do.
Yeek, I've got 14 books in my 'to-do' pile?

Not only are they covering BL news, like it's an actual part of anime and manga, but they are citing their sources? I thought they had magical fairies who pooped out news for them, who knew they got information from anyplace as mundane as a newspaper, blog or website? I am still in shock. What if they are humans like us, and not some magical information gods?
When I used to go to their website regularly, there would be times when every single one of their frontpage news stories lacked a source. I wonder if they have a new news editor. Maybe someone with some vague idea of media ethics?
Though, I remain convinced they only covered the BL Twist news because they wanted a BL news story that wasn't good news. They wanted something besides 'OMG Meteoric Growth Continues' for the people on their forums to sink their teeth into.

Post-Con we are still having lots of news to report, not all of it is good, though.
Actually, I've been back for a couple of days.
I am still a bit tired, though. I haven't had much chance to catch up on sleep with school and whatnot.
It's nice that Anime News Network actually posted about the licenses from Yaoi-Con and credited us, but everywhere else is crediting ANN for all those hours of work we did. We wrote 16 articles, still have an article pending and were interviewed ourselves. Well, I guess I should be happy that ANN bothered to credit us at all, they are really, really</a> bad about crediting sources. I am glad we got a chance to interview Hinako Takanaga-sensei.
Though, I am surprised no one is commenting on another publisher entering the yaoi manga market. I guess everyone is too overwhelmed by the avalanche of licenses.

I must have an awesome DNS server. Literally minutes after Jen sent in the request to have Yaoisuki.net point to the new IP address I was posting on the forums. By Wednesday we should be fully up and running ... and posting.
I need to be a ton of reviews to try to balance out how much work Jen had to do.

Yay, we got our press passes for Yaoi Con! Last year was alot of fun. Though, this year money will be tight so I wont be able to buy the massive amounts of stuff I did last year. Unless I get off my buy and eBay some stuff, I might only have my registration refund and spending cash.
